Three Point barrage leads Celtics to Game 2 win vs Bucks

The Boston Celtics levelled the series with the Milwaukee Bucks at one a piece thanks to a 109-86 victory on Tuesday night. The home team eased to victory largely thanks to 20 made three pointers. 

Jaylen Brown was the lead scorer on the night, finishing with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals & 1 block. The guard shooting an impressive six of 10 from three.  

Boston underperformed in Game 1 and they made it clear there would not be a repeat as they blitzed the Bucks in the first half. Jaylen Brown missed just one shot as he scored 25 points in the half. 

The Celtics also showed why they had the no.1 rated defence in the NBA, by holding the Bucks to just 40 first half points, Giannis Antetokounmpo scoring just five points in the half. 

Boston led by 25 to begin the second half but Milwaukee continued to fight. Giannis overcoming his first half struggles to score 18 points in the third, however they still trailed by 17 going into the final period. 

The defending champions had closed to within 12 points with 4:30 left to play but that was as good as it got. The Celtics closing out the win with a 15-4 run to finish the game, which included 8 points for Jayson Tatum. 

Tatum finished with 29 points, 8 assists and 3 steals but Grant Williams was without doubt the X-Factor, finishing with 21 points and proving a consistent stopper on the defensive end. Giannis finished 28/9/7, while Jrue Holiday added 19 points despite a tough shooting night.

The series now heads to Milwaukee, with Game 3 taking place on Saturday @8:30pm (GMT +1).
