Luka Doncic was the star as the Dallas Mavericks eased to an emphatic Game 7 win on the road over the no.1 seed Phoenix Suns. Doncic’s 35 points helping Dallas to a 123-90 victory, the franchise reaching the Conference Finals for the first time since 2011.

Just like the Suns in Game 1, Dallas won this one in wire-to-wire fashion. Holding Phoenix to just 27 first half points, with Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Ayton a combined 1 of 14 from the field in the first half.

On the contrary Luka showed the world he was the best player on the floor from the opening tip. The 23-year-old scored the Mavericks first 8 points before putting Cam Johnson on the floor and hitting a three towards the end of the first half, giving himself 27 points to match the Suns total and give Dallas a 30-point half time lead.

There was to be no let up from Dallas out of the break, with Jalen Brunson doing a little bit of everything on the offensive end, scoring 12 points to extend the Mavs lead to 92-50 going into the final period. Allowing Doncic to sit out the entire fourth quarter.

Defence has been key for the Mavericks under Jason Kidd and was again in Game 7. Ultimately holding Phoenix to just 69 points before the benches were emptied.

Dallas completing the comeback from 2-0 down to begin the series by becoming the first road team to win a game in this series.

Chris Paul had just 10 points, losing his 5 career playoff series after his team led 2-0 and his 4 straight Game 7.

Doncic complimented his points haul with 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals on 12/19 shooting. Spencer Dinwiddie added 30 off the bench on 11/15 shooting, with Brunson dropping 24. Johnson led the way for Phoenix with 12 points, while Booker had just 11 on 3/14 shooting.

The Mavericks now face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. Dallas won the season series 3-1. Game 1 will be on Wednesday @2am (GMT +1).
