LeBron James achieved a major career milestone on Saturday night, when he overtook Karl Malone to become the 2 All-Time leading scorer in NBA history. ‘The Kid from Akron’ now only trails the great Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
James achieved the feat with an easy layup, but it was still a moment he will never forget. Despite being 37 years old, James is currently leading the league in scoring with 30 PPG as he tries to drag his Lakers to the play-in tournament.
LeBron scored his first NBA points during his Cleveland Cavaliers debut on October 29, 2003, and 18 seasons later he is still one of the most talented and feared players in basketball.
The King may not win a fifth ring this season or be talked about as an MVP candidate but those who question his ability to still play at the top level of the NBA have been answered emphatically.
LeBron James now sits 1,402 points off Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s total of 38,387 points. James averages over 1900 points a season for his career. So, expect KING JAMES to reign supreme by the end of next season.
And still, have nobody think of him as one of the greatest scorers in NBA history….
