Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 42 points to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 103-101 victory over the Boston Celtics on Saturday night. Antetokounmpo was very much the difference maker on a night which saw both teams shoot below 41% from the field.

The Boston Celtics won Game 2 thanks to their impressive three-point shooting, but they could not replicate it on the road. Boston shooting just 9 of 33 as a team from beyond the arc.

Despite their shooting struggles the Celtics took a four-point lead into the halftime break, before Giannis and the Bucks went to work in the 3 quarter. The home team outscoring their opponents 34-17 in the penultimate quarter, Antetokounmpo notching 11 points before matching that in the final period.

The Bucks completely nullified Jayson Tatum in this one, with the Celtics star scoring just 10 points on 4 of 19 shooting. Despite this, Boston put together a strong final period with Jaylen Brown (15) & Al Horford (12) combining for 27 points.

Horford thought he had forced overtime with a third attempt tip in as the buzzer went. However, upon review the decision was overturned as the ball was still in Horford’s hands when time expired.

Giannis complimented his 42 points with 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals & 2 blocks, while Jrue Holiday added 25 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Brown led the way for Boston with 27/12/4 while Horford had 22 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists.

The Bucks won this one thanks to the difference of about 0.2 seconds. The question now, where does this series go from here? Game 4 is in Milwaukee on Monday night @12:30am (GMT +1).
