Chris Paul & Devin Booker combined for 41 second half points as the Phoenix Suns blitzed the Dallas Mavericks down the stretch to take a 2-0 series lead, with a 129-109 win in Phoenix. 

Devin Booker led the way for the Suns with 30 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. The guard scoring 21 of his 30 points in the second half of the game. 

The Mavericks started the game aggressively and a strong run to finish the first and begin the second put them into the lead for the first time in the series. Luka Doncic was once again the catalyst for Dallas scoring 24 first half points as the Mavericks went into the break with a 60-58 lead. 

Devin Booker began the 3 quarter by hitting back-to-back three pointers to restore the lead for Phoenix and they didn’t relinquish it again. The scoring of Reggie Bullock the only thing that kept the Mavs in the game. 

Jalen Brunson’s three to open the 4 quarter closed the gap to just three points before Chris Paul took over. Paul scored 14 points inside the first five minutes of the final period to give Phoenix a 15-point lead and end the game as a contest. CP3 scoring or assisting on the Suns first 8 shots of the quarter.

Dallas lived and died by their 3-point scoring in this one, in the case of this game they died by it in the second half, after going 10 of 19 in the opening half. 

Paul finished with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists, while Jae Crowder stepped up once again with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Doncic led the way for Dallas with 35 points, Bullock adding 16, including four trebles. 

The Mavericks will have to make their home floor a fortress to extend this series. Game 3 takes place on Friday @2:30am (GMT +1).
