Al Horford erupted for 30 points to lead the Boston Celtics to a 116-108 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum. The 35-year-old shot 11 of 14 from the field and 5 of 7 from deep, while being the primary defender on Giannis Antetokounmpo for the night.
Milwaukee had the better of the action in the opening quarter with the Celtics seeming unable to knock down a shot. The Bucks leading by as many as 10 points in the opening period.
However, a 16-8 run to begin the 2 quarter put Boston into the lead but on the back of their home support, Milwaukee had re-established a one-point lead at the half, 48-47.
Just like in Game 3, Giannis took over the third quarter and the Bucks threatened to run away with the game. Leading by as many as 11 thanks to 13 points from Antetokounmpo. But the Celtics stayed strong and had cut the lead to seven by the end of the period.
Then it was Al Horford time. The 5x All-Star scored 16 points in the opening 6:51 of the 4 quarter to erase the Bucks lead and give Boston a three-point advantage.
Jayson Tatum then took charge to close out the game, scoring 10 of his 12 fourth quarter points in the final 4:29 to close out the win. Boston outscoring Milwaukee 43-28 in the final period.
Tatum finished with 30 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists, while Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown each scored 18 points. Antetokounmpo led the way for Milwaukee with 34/18/5, Brook Lopez added 17 points and Jrue Holiday finished with 16/7/9.
The series now returns to Boston for Game 5 and still we have no idea which way this series is headed. Game 5 is Wednesday @12:00am (GMT +1).
